Presidential Documents

  • Code of Federal Regulations Codification of the general and permanent rules published in the Federal Register by the executive departments and agencies of the federal government.
  • Federal Register Official online edition. Contains Presidential documents, proposed and final federal regulations, and other documents.
  • Public Papers of the Presidents of the United States Published by the Office of the Federal Register. The official publication of United States Presidents' public writings, addresses, and remarks.
  • Weekly Compilation of Presidential Documents Published by the Office of the Federal Register every Monday. Contains statements, messages, and other Presidential materials released by the White House during the preceding week.

United States Constitution

  • Constitution Project Bipartisan organization that seeks consensus on legal and Constitutional issues. Includes information on judicial independence, Constitutional amendments, death penalty.
  • Founders' Constitution Provides the text of the US Constitution, historical commentary on each Article, the text of other founding documents, and an analysis of the Preamble to the Constitution.
  • United States Constitution From FindLaw. View or search the Constitution.

  • United States Code From the US House of Representatives, Office of the Law Revision Counsel. Includes a searchable database.
  • United States Code Searchable database from FindLaw.
  • United States Law From the Law Library of Congress. Provides access to the US Code, Statutes at Large, and Public and Private Laws.
